{engagement session} – becca & cort

When Becca & Cort initially contacted me about shooting their wedding, they described it as something like a “big fat lesbian Jewish wedding.”  How could I not be excited?! lol  They’re getting married this summer at Edgefield, and wanted a different setting for their engagement session, so we walked around their neighborhood in St. John’s and Cathedral Park.  I had actually never been to Cathedral Park, and I normally try and stay away from parks for engagement sessions, but the architecture of the St. John’s bridge is just stunning.  My favorite part, though, was of course walking around downtown St. John’s looking for random walls and alleyways to shoot in.  I mean, how can you beat a mural of smiling people and the random pig on a skateboard??

Loved the texture of this building.

Another random wall.

Then we went and got their spinning pug for some photos.  Photo tip: if you would like to include your dog in your photo session, be sure and bring treats and/or toys so I can get them to look at me. 😉

Becca & Cort, thank you for inviting me into your home and letting me get to know you a little better.  I am so excited to shoot your wedding!!
