When I met with Tara and Kyle about their wedding next July, I knew we would be perfect to work together when they said they liked the “piss off” picture from this post. Also, I went to high school with her older brother…small world. I shot their engagement session yesterday in Salem. It was such a beautiful day, and they are such a beautiful couple! I try and encourage my couples to choose a location for their engagement session that means something to them. I think it makes the session more personal, and helps bring out real emotions. So, when Tara asked if I would drive to Salem to the Brunk House because her great great great great grandfather built it after coming on the Oregon Trail, I was stoked. We were allowed to wander all over the property, and I could have shot there all day. It was definitely my kind of place.
