So, I came in last night from the boys’ swim lessons, and started cooking dinner…such a suburban housewife! After awhile I felt the urge to check something on my iPhone (it didn’t matter what it was. I just need to use it. Often.), but I couldn’t find it. I didn’t freak out, oh well, I needed to stir the sauce and finish loading the dishwasher. After we ate, though, I went to look for it again, but still couldn’t find it. I started getting a little concerned, and wanted to find it, but I was tired and Spencer was putting on a MST3K (we just got Netflix, and love streaming movies on the Xbox 360 for only $8/month!). I still hadn’t found it by the time I went to bed, but I got my fix on Spencer’s iPhone, so I was good until morning. But then, panic struck when it was still missing when I awoke. How could I survive the day without it?? What happened to my precious?! Spencer called it a million times as I anxiously waited to hear it ring somewhere in the house or car. He doesn’t like me being unreachable, either, but I HAD to take Calvin to the pumpkin patch with his preschool class (Halloween is his favorite holiday…until Christmas gets here, I’m sure). I reluctantly left, feeling anxious, and, frankly, slightly shaky. I kept running the events of last night through my head…did I have it after swim lessons? Yes. Noah was playing a game in my car on the way home. Noah. He MUST know where it is! We quickly picked a pumpkin, and stopped by my friend’s house to see if I could use their phone to call Noah at school, but they weren’t there. Crap. I can get Noah out of class and ask him, I thought. Now that I think about it, that sounds a little crazy, but I was desperate. Seriously. Noah walked down the hall, looking terrified, wondering why I was there. “Where is my phone??” I asked him. He helped me look in my car, but it wasn’t there. I took his phone with me, after he asked to go back to class (can you believe that?!). Phew. At least I would be able to contact the outside world. I drove home, determined to call my phone as my times as it took to find it. But then, oh yeah, I checked the mail last night. I lifted up the mail on the table, and there it was, on silent mode because Noah usually turns off the sound when he plays games on it. A sense of relief, and admittedly a little shame, came over me, and I texted Spencer. I felt all better.
So, Eli is 9 months old! My friend, Lisa, came over and we took the little boys to my neighborhood playground. She brought some pumpkins, and we plopped down in some leaves to take some pics of Eli. Man, he is so cute, and happy!
Such a ham.
OMG, he LOVED the swing. It was hilariously adorable.
Oh, yeah, and Calvin was there, too. lol

Oh, and I’m glad you found your phone! I hate when that happens. I have the same problem when leaving my phone on silent mode and then Eli plays with it and drops it under the couch. LOL!
OMG, Jess!! I LOVE THESE PICS!!! I love love LOVE THEM!! My little baby boo is such a cutie pumpkin pie!! And what a good li’l model- so smiley in every picture…so if anyone needs a baby/toddler model for any reason, just ask Jessica and she can put you in touch with me, but only if she gets to shoot the pics.
Thank you again, Jess! These pictures will be treasured by me and my family forever.
